David Stiller is the President of Heritage Aviation. Dave joined Heritage in 2014 to transform the company into an employee-owned organization, following a family tradition of corporate social responsibility. Dedicated to the pursuit of authentic employee engagement, he has presided over the establishment of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and the implementation of open book management. Dave holds a Master of Fine Arts in Emergent Media from Champlain College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Colorado. He lives in Burlington with his wife.
Luke Jean is the Vice President for Maintenance. With Heritage since 2007, Luke has served in a variety of roles to include Aircraft Technician, Part 135 Maintenance Manager and the Part 145 Repair Station Director of Maintenance. Luke is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He lives in Essex Junction with his wife and two children.
Tim McCole is the Vice President for Strategy and Marketing and has been with the company since 2015. Tim brings to Heritage his twenty years of FBO management experience including several high volume FBOs located in the Boston, New York, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. metro areas. Tim is a frequent attendee of industry events and conventions and is a member of a prominent FBO peer advisory group. Tim has been an aircraft owner and a licensed Master Parachutist and shares deeply in his family’s passion for all things aviation.
Carol Betz joined Heritage Aviation in 2011 as the Director of Finance. A graduate of Trinity College, Carol has lived in Vermont for over 20 years. She has previously held key positions in accounting and finance in a variety of industries as well as managing several entrepreneurial ventures of her own. Since 1990 Carol has taught the particulars of finance and accounting to the students of the Community College of Vermont. Carol’s background in education has been instrumental in her creation of a financial literacy program that teaches Heritage employees the accounting basics necessary for Heritage’s Open Book Management system.
A Heritage employee since 2003; Heather Jean serves as the company’s Director of Human Resources. Heather is an active member of both the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Vermont human Resources Association (VHRA) as well as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification. Heather has been a champion for constant improvement of the employee compensation and benefit package as a tool to attract, retain and reward exemplary employees. She lives in Essex Junction with her husband and two children.
Zlatan Valjevac, known as “Z” to family and friends alike, is the Director of Maintenance for Heritage Aviation’s Part 145 Repair Station. With Heritage since 2001, Z has held many different positions over the years to include Chief Inspector and Part 135 fleet manager. He holds both an A&P and IA certifications and is a FAA FAASTeam Representative for the Portland, ME region. Zlatan lives in Colchester with his wife and two children.
Matthew Collins is the Director of FBO Services for Heritage Aviation. With the company since 2008, Matthew has held multiple leadership positions to include Shift Supervisor and Line Operations Manager. Matthew has been awarded a degree in Architectural Design and Studies from Morrisville State College and holds certifications from NATA, Revit, AutoCAD, 3DS MAX and MODO. He lives in Essex Junction with his wife and three children.
