WAAS (Wide Area Augmentation System) increases the accuracy of GPS to allow for LPV (Localized Performance with Vertical guidance) Approaches. This essentially allows for a pseudo Localizer / Glideslope approach at an airport that may not even have any ground based ILS equipment. Heritage Aviation can upgrade existing Garmin GNS400/500 series GPS units for WAAS, or install new GPS/WAAS equipment if your aircraft is not already equipped.
